Before I had children
I always heard what a
joy it
was to have children.
Many times other parents would say
how much
joy children would bring into my life.

What they didn't tell me was that the joy
could be missed...
overlooked...
over shadowed....
Sometimes the joy gets pushed aside by
temper tantrums,
dirty diapers,
sleepless nights,
trips to the grocery store,
the dishes,
the laundry,
and so many other things in
our busy life.
So we have a saying
around our house.
A saying just so we can soak in all
these joyous moments.
When we see these little moments happening
amidst the chaos...
the piles of laundry...
after a meltdown...
We point out the joyous moments
just so they don't slip by unnoticed.
"
There's the joy" we will say.
This moment with all 3 of our babies
was the joy!
One of those moments that we
could have been wrapped up in
other things to notice.
I'm not sure who said it first...
but this was the joy!
The joy of big brothers
loving on their new baby sister...
The joy of seeing my oldest
baby holding my tiniest baby...
The joy of seeing
what a loving,
caring,
sweet big brother
Owen has become.
Yep! That's the joy!
