Super Hero

"It's Super Owen to the RESCUE
with his SUPER POWER FLASHLIGHT!!!"
That's what he said as he ran out of the office
this morning.
His imagination is working over time these days.
This morning Super Owen was saving me
from the "BIG SCARY MONSTER"!

The Big Scary Monster
was going to eat me and Gavin
for breakfast.  OH NOOOOO!
We needed a super hero to save us!!!

Lucky for us we have a
super hero living in our house!
Owen saved the day with
his super powered flashlight.
YEAH!

Things get busy...

Things get busy when
you're chasing around
a curious 10 month old!

A little someone has found the stairs!!!

Gavin: 9 months old

 This little guy is now 9 months old.
Actually he is more like 9 months 3 weeks and 4 days old.
I'm a little behind on my posts. : (

This month has been full of new things!
He's really got a personality now.
He's such a silly little guy who
likes to make us laugh.
He know it's funny when he
shakes his head no.
He always gets a laugh when
he does that.

9 months old is the month

of being on the move.

He's all over the place and 

into everything!!

He's our little ninja...

he silent when he's on the move!

 9 months old is still waiting
for more teeth to come in.
There's been a lot of cranky days
lately with all of this waiting.
9 months has been the hardest.

9 months old has been trying new foods.
This little piggy will eat anything.
He loves cheerios...of course!
But shock of all shock I have
a kid that will eat...
blueberries
banannas
peaches
sweet potatoes
green beans
carrots
apples
and peas!
He loves to eat!!

 9 months old has been a lot of fun!
I really like this age
and it's hard to believe that
it's almost time to start planning
his 1st birthday party!!!

L-O-V-E

I love the days when we
just go with the flow!
The kind of days that
we stay in our PJ's all
morning!
No need to hurry...
no need to rush...

Days when you "little one" are so
cute and smiley...

Days when you want to play...

Days when you "big one"
are home from school and
can have silly mornings with us!

I know that days like these
are few.
Soon "big one" you will be going
off to Kindergarten...
and "little one" you will be
going to preschool.
But for now let's just enjoy
these mornings...
these mornings that we don't
have to hurry!

that's how old you are right now!
It's strange to think that you
really are growing up!
You are getting so big and
it's breaking my heart!

In the last 3 years 5 months 2 weeks and 1 day

you have taught me so many things!
You have taught me to LOVE LOVE LOVE

so unconditionally that it hurts!

You have taught me what it feels like

to be loved like that in return!

This love that I have for you 

I just can't  put into words!

But you can...

at night and about 100 times a day...

in your quiet voice you say...

I love you mommy....

to infinity and beyond!

My heart melts with each

kiss...

each hug...

each I love you!

Along with love you have taught me 

how to laugh!

Not just a giggle or a chuckle

but LAUGH!

Just hearing you laugh...

that laugh that comes from

deep in your soul is

so contagious.

I laugh Owen...

I laugh with you over things

that I ordinarily wouldn't find funny...

but I laugh because of you!

Your zest for life is truly contagious!

Keep laughing and keep smiling...always!

and even when you are mad there

Birthday Party for Ava Grace

There's nothing Owen likes more
than a birthday party!!
This Dora party was just what
we needed on a Friday morning!!
Good friends...
games...
pizza...
and cake!!!

Owen and the rest of the gang
really liked playing pin the tail
on swiper!!!

Gavin and his best baby buds
practiced standing during the party!

I love seeing the little babies together!!
It reminds me of when their big brothers
and sisters were small!
It really doesn't seem like it was that long ago
that baby Owen, Emily, Alex, Taylie,
and Ava Grace had a picture just like this!

Look at these "big kids"
so grown!!
It's hard to believe that they are 3!

Big Kids and Little Kids

The weather has been perfect
for playdates outside.
Perfectly warm...
no need for coats...
or hats...
or gloves!
Just perfect!!
On the perfectly perfect morning
Owen's friend Ava Grace and her little
brother Noah joined us at a park
for some fun in the Carolina sunshine!

It was so cute to have the
"big kids" and the "little kids"
all together!
Noah and Gavin are just about
a week apart in age.
They are going to be great friends!

The big kids helped
entertain the little kids!

The little kids played on the
blanket and ate puffs all morning!

From time to time the big kids
would stop by to say hi!

The big kids were extra cute
driving around in the jeep
together!
So so so cute!

There was lots of swinging!

and there were lots of smiles
on this beautiful Carolina day
with 2 best buddies!
