A best buds birthday party!

Owen has been to a lot
of birthday parties over the last 3 years...
but this one was special!
Special because this is a friend
that he chose...
a very best friend that he met
when he was just a little over 1.
They met in Miss Mary's Parents
Morning Out Class and now they are
in the same preschool class!
This is a friend that he has lots
of fun with when mommy isn't around.
A friend to get in trouble with at school...
a friend to miss when he isn't in school!
Owen looks forward to seeing this friend!
Sure he has lots of friends that have
been around for years now.
They are special too!
But this friendship is a little
different because he picked him
all by himself!
Owen sure is growing up!

So we were excited to go to this
birthday party.
A chance to see him play
with his new friend.
This was a really fun
party that was held
at the Museum of Life & Science.

Santa Pics

Gavin met Santa for the very first time!
Since it was his very first time seeing Santa
I thought it was important that he have
his very own picture!
Gavin loved Santa!
He really wanted to get
a hold of Santa's beard!
We had to tell him that
pulling Santa's beard is
a sure way to get on the naughty list!

Of course I wanted a picture
of my boys together!
They were so cute in
their matching sweaters!
Owen was so excited to
see Santa this year!
I happened to over hear
what he told Santa that he
wanted for Christmas...
an Owl and an Elephant.
I hope his list gets a little easier
as he gets older.
There is no room in this house
for an Owl or an Elephant!

Christmas Traditions Part 2

Every year we make new Christmas
Ornaments for our tree!
I love having a tree full of
homemade ornaments!
All that homemade goodness
that we can pull out every year
and say "remember when..."
and take us back to a very special time!
A time when our kids were little
and their was lots of Christmas magic in our house!
They not be the fanciest ornaments...
but they are priceless to me : )

Traditions

I'm all about starting traditions
these days!
I'm all about creating memories
that my boys can look back on
and remember their magical childhood!
Since we got a little snow
I thought it was time to break out
some of our new traditions....

We made our very first Gingerbread House!

Owen was very eager to help!

Then Santa sent an elf to our house!
At first he thought it was Pinocchio...
but as the days went by his name became
Buddy the elf.

Every morning Owen spots
him right away.
"TA DA!"

Green Beans

Gavin is starting to enjoy
the wonderful world of baby food!
So far he likes to dine on Sweet Potatoes,
Peas, Squash, Bananas, Pears, apples,...
well pretty much anything we feed him : )
This guy is a great eater!

These pictures are well over due!
We took these the first time we gave
him something other than cereal.
As you can see he wasn't a fan at first....

6 months old: This kind of love

While we were in Disney a certain
little guy turned 6 months old!
It is hard to believe that he is 6 months old already!!
He's growing up too fast!!!
The last 6 months have been so much
fun watching him grow!
There's something special about the second baby.
I know how fast he will grow up so I take the
time to enjoy every stage.
With the Owen I couldn't wait to see what
was next!
With Gavin I'm content to savor every little
baby moment.

 At 6 months old Gavin is doing so many
fun new things!
He's sitting up all by himself!
He loves to sit up like a big boy!!

He's also rolling over!
He rolls from one side of
the room to the other!
Much like his big brother!

Gavin is in the early stages of crawling!
He's rocking back on his hands and knees.
He likes to practice this move in the middle
of the night!
We haven't been getting much sleep lately!!

The other huge milestone Gavin has reached
is he is getting 2 little baby teeth!
2 tiny little teeth on the bottom.
I'm really going to miss that big
toothless smile!
The last 6 months have been fantastic!

Last Day in Disney

It was a very special vacation!
Not only was it our first trip to Disney
but it was also our very first family vacation!!
We made so many memories together!
Even though Gavin won't remember a thing
and Owen may only remember bits and pieces...
this trip was for James and I to be able to
look back and smile!
Remembering all the Disney Magic, Laughter, and Smiles!!
This was also a trip full of firsts...
Owen's first real roller coaster!
Since he was 40 inches tall he could go on
more rides than I had originally thought!
He got to go on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad!
He thought that was so much fun and
thanks to the Baby Swap he got to go twice : )
Gavin also sat in a high chair for the first time
and got his very first Mickey Mouse Doll.
So many memories to try and capture!!
So many moments I want to remember!!
Such a very special family vacation!
We can't wait to go back!!!
