We had a fun afternoon at the ball park with our neighbors Annie and Steve. It was another hot NC summer day but it was a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Owen loved watching what the players were doing and when everyone cheered he would to. It was so cute watching him really get into it this year. Yummy ice cream from good berry's!

Birthday Party time

Owen's friend Jackson turned 2 this month so we celebrated his birthday with him at Planet Child. What could be better than a birthday party at planet child? Nothing according to Owen! Owen played and played and had a blast with all of his best neighborhood friends.

Look who got a new set of wheels!

When it comes to mom mom's and pop pop's they don't really need a reason to spoil a certain almost 2 year old cutie. But in this case it was Pop Pop's birthday so in celebration Owen got a car! Lucky Boy! He was so excited to try it out that he couldn't wait for us to put it together. Putting this thing together was harder than I thought. 25 step directions with no words just pictures and about 1,000 tiny parts. Owen even got his own drill out to help the girls along. Now that his cozy coupe is in working order he has spent countless hours opening and shutting the door, turning the key, and vroom vrooming all over the house. Thanks Mom Mom and Pop Pop!!

I took a much needed girls trip to Boston to see one of my very best friends. While Tammy and I were having fun in Boston my wonderful hubby was holding down the fort at home. I truly am lucky to have such a great husband that will stay home and take care of our little one while I go and have a good time. I knew I could relax because Owen was in good hands and besides that Owen adores his daddy. So while I was away they could do all the manly things that I wouldn't enjoy!!!

Just say no to Watermelon

At our weekly play date Alex's mommy brought some watermelon to share. I thought it would be a perfect chance to get our picky eater to try some fruit. Of course he would want to try it if all of his friends were eating it. NOPE! He didn't even try it, wouldn't look at it, wouldn't dream of it. There was no convincing him to take a big juicy bite. He shook his head NO...and that was it. My dreams of him eating fruit were over. I watched all the other cuties with juice running down their shirts smile while eating this summer time treat. All the while glancing at my fruit scrooge who was eyeing the brownies instead. What can I say he knows what he likes!!!

July 4th weekend in OC

What a beautiful 4th of July weekend. We had perfect weather for a beach and pool vacation. The best part was we got to see a lot of family on this trip! Owen had a blast splashing around with cousin Julie in the pool. Even very pregnant Aunt Whitney joined in the fun in the pool! To make going to the pool more fun for Owen I bought him a frog floatie. At first he wasn't so sure but, when he realized he could swim swim swim on his own he LOVED it!!! So the Hanson family had a fun filled weekend full of fireworks, cookouts, crab feasts, and fun in the sun!
