Dinner and Time Square

We wanted to take Owen to see the lights in Time Square since we knew he would really like all t he excitement! He loved it! He also loved the ride on the subway to Time Square. Just to be in full tourist mode we chose to load Owen up in the back pack. We just didn't feel like fighting the craziness in time sqare in a stroller. It's one of the smartest things that we did.On the way down to the SubwayWaiting for dinner at John's Pizzeria. It looks like Owen likes Brickoven Pizza too! This pizza needs more parm Dad! Cheers Mommy! We have had the best day ever!

7th between Avenue A & B

It was fantastic going back to our old neighborhood with Owen. It seems like we have been gone for YEARS! It was kinda emotional being there and thinking of all the great memories we made. Most of all this was the place that we brought Owen home to. I got a little teary eyed just thinking about it. We loved taking Owen to watch the dogs in the dog park and the only thing missing was Cooper. He would have loved to be back to his old stomping grounds. It was bittersweet watching Owen run around Tompkins Square Park just like I had imagined him doing when I was pregnant. It was good to be home!
We took the cutest pictures of Owen in front of the graffiti on the corner of 7th and A
He loved chasing the pigeons around the park

Daddy and Owen walking to our old apartment 158 East 7th street I can't believe this little guy is the same baby we brought home through these doors almost 2 years ago! Owen ran and ran and ran in the playground! Look at what I can do daddy!
I think I am getting sleepy! NAH!
Owen and daddy at the corner bodega
A stop in the old neighborhood would not be complete without a stop at Criff Dogs! Yummy! Owen felt that he needed to have every ketchup and mustard bottle in the joint on his table. Good thing we were the only people in there! It was quite a collection.

The Seaport and beyond

James and I always enjoyed walking around the Seaport we wanted to share it with Owen. He ran up and down the steps and all around the place. He also liked the boats and the water. It was a beautiful day to be outside!
I love this picture of Owen and James. Owen is showing James which way we should be going on the map!

More fun times on Saturday!

After a fun afternoon walk around the park we stopped by a playground to let Owen run around. He ran and ran and ran! He went up and down the slide at least 100 times! He had a blast showing Amit his amazing skills on the playground.
One! Two! Three! Whee! This is the craziest slide I've ever seen! Owen showing off his skills to Amit
it's a blurry picture but I love his little face!
After the park it was time for more food. We found a yummy restaurant on the Upper West side called Citrus. There wasn't much for little man to eat so he had a big slice of NYC pizza. Lucky guy!
Here Amit...let daddy pay!
After dinner it was time to say goodbye to the Holtz family. We had such a great day with them! Owen shook Lucy's foot and then we were off to Amit and Lena's apartment...
we walked through a tunnel.... We looked both ways before we crossed the street.... Owen was a wrecking crew in Amit and Lena's apartment. Glass coffee tables are not good for little fingers!!
Then it was off to an outside bar/ restaurant that was along the Hudson... with a charming view of the westside Hwy : ) Owen really liked running up and down the pier!He was very curious about the LED candles. Some patrons did not notice that they were not real. Boy did I get some looks when they thought I was letting my baby play with fire.
Lena was a great sport and played with Owen on the Pier What a fun day with good friends!!!!

We spent a fun afternoon strolling through central park with some great friends. We were really excited to meet Lucy! Lucy is John and Maureens little girl who just turned 1! She is such a cutie! It was so nice seeing John, Maureen, Lucy, and Amit and spending such a fun day in one of our favorite NYC spots.
