My Little Man

My little man
you are growing up so fast!!!
I find more things to love about you
everyday!!!!!
It's hard to believe that you
can already be 11 months old!
I want to remember everything
like....

The way you always have drool
on your chin!

Your great big smile
and your little chuckle!

The way those big brown eyes
melt my heart!!
They have a way of making me
smile!

I want to remember the
way that your smile can light
up the room!!

You have a way of making people
smile!!!
People just seem to be drawn to you
and the first thing they say is what
a sweet funny baby you are.
They also say handsome you are!!
I have to agree you are the cutest,
funniest baby I have ever met!!!

Easter Bunny

On his very first Easter Gavin
smiled the cutest smile for his
Easter Bunny picture.
It melted this mama's heart!!

On the other hand...
his big brother was not
in the mood for the Easter Bunny
nor did he want to have his picture taken.
That made this picture loving mama
very sad!!!

As frustrating as it was

I'm sure I will look back on 

that frowny face and smile.

Someday...just not today : )

He did however smile
behind his Easter Buny mask.
I can see that twinkle in his eyes
and that makes me smile!!!
So my grumpy little Easter Bunny
redeemed himself in the nick of time!!

Lucky Boys

These 2 lucky little boys
got an early Easter present!!!

When Owen and Gavin woke up from their
naps on Friday it was all put together
and it was time to play!!!

Owen was so excited to try it out!!!

When he got to the top
he looked looked out of the
telescope and shouted
"A-boy Matey!"
He thinks he's Captain Hook.
I think it's adorable and I don't
have the heart to correct him.
So our little pirate says A-boy
instead of A-hoy.
I'm ok with that : )

He loves the slide...
except for the crocodiles
that are at the bottom.

He thought the swing was
pretty cool too.

A little someone
wanted to come outside
and play!!!

So he did...

Danger must be his
middle name!!!

These 2 lucky little boys have
been having a blast
on their very own swingset!!

Farmer Owen

When it was time for Nanny to go home
we had one more fun thing to do.
We drove to Virginia to visit the Farm.
Owen loved picking out which cow he was going
to take home...
he liked the little red one the best!

 He had fun blowing the 

seeds off of the Dandelions!

We got to meet Mocha the cow!
This was my favorite part but Owen
wasn't so sure of her.

This was Owen's FAVORITE part!!!
He grinned from ear to ear when he
got on the horse!

He said he was Woody
and the horse was Bullseye : )
I love his imagination these days!!!

After a little ride on the horse
it was back to the Dandelions.

He was so excited that Uncle Tom
let him drive the tractor!!!!

He loved driving it...
down the lane...
next to the apple trees...
and in the field.
Such a great memory for this
little guy!!1

When it was time to go
he gave the kitty a pat and
jumped in the car.
We barely made it down
the lane before his sweet
little eyes were closed.

Special Visit

We brought back a special
visitor on our trip to Maryland.
We brought back Owen and Gavin's
Great Grandmother!!!
They had a really fun week together.
Gavin LOVED all the extra attention!
She taught him how to play so big...
and he thought that was hilarious!!!
She baked cookies and brownies with Owen
and hid from the scary monsters too.
These boys sure got spoiled while she was here!!

big he has gotten!

"super fast" that I realize
how fast time goes by.

where my sweet baby big boy
is smiling a big beautiful smile
that I realize how blessed I am.

It's little moments like this
when I see the 3 men in my life
that I am truly happy.
It's these little moments that
make me smile and soak in all
the love that takes place in this
ordinary everyday life.

Family

The sad news that my Aunt passed
away came on Wed and by Thursday we
loaded up the boys and drove to Maryland.
It's so sad that it takes bad news to
get a family together these days.
It seems like it's only when someone is gone
that you realize how important your family is.
On this trip I saw cousins that I hadn't seen in years.
It was bitter sweet to see them.
I just wish it was on a happier occasion.
On this trip there was a lot of sadness but
also a lot of joyous moments
that I think my Aunt would have loved.

Not big enough

He watched out the window this morning...
not big enough to go out and play.
Not big enough to help his daddy
cut the grass...

Not big enough to play outside....
Not a big boy like his brother.

But he has the best big brother
that wanted to play with him
even though...
he's not big enough.

Soon buddy!
Soon you will be
Big Enough!!
Mommy will sigh...
and be a little sad...
that you are big enough
to go out and play.
