Never say Never

I swore I would never be "one of those people"! I swore that I would never put cheesy Christmas decorations up in my yard. Yet here it is Christmas 2009 and I am the proud owner of an 8ft tall snowman! I have to tell you I LOVE IT! I think it's super cute and it makes me smile!! Kids do change everything! I would never have put this in my yard before Owen but somehow having him around makes it ok. Having a little one around really renews the Christmas Spirit. NO more Ba HumBug around the Hanson house! Who knows maybe next year I will even put up a Christmas Flag!! Ok let's not get crazy!! That I can promise will never happen!

Deck the Halls

Over Thanksgiving we put up our Christmas tree... our very first Christmas tree that was taller than 4 ft. The stockings were hung and the lights were strung!! It's time for Christmas! Owen was very helpful this year while we were putting up the tree! He loved putting the ribbon on! I have a feeling each Christmas is going to get better and better!!

Thanksgiving Crafts!

Look what Owen made in school! I was soooo happy to finally get some holiday decorations made by our own little artist!! I love each and everyone of them!! That's one colorful Turkey!

Making O's

One of Owen's favorite things to do is write O's in his composition notebook. He will sit and write O's forever! The funny thing is he only does O's in his notebook and not on any other kinds of paper. Throughout the day I hear a little sweet voice say "O's mama!" as he points to the cabinet we keep the supplies in. Maybe we have a future writer on our hands.

Total Eclipse of the Heart!

It seems that mommy's impeccable taste in music is rubbing off on Owen. HA! After coming home from getting his haircut I peaked in the mirror to see if he was snoozing and this is what I saw.....

A much needed haircut!

Owen really needed a haircut so we headed of to a new place to get a hair do. This time we went to JJ's kids instead of Snip its but in the end the result was the same. Although I think he liked the airplane and movie a lot more. He also was very compliant due to the yummy lollipop! The lollipop during a haircut was not the best decision... it was full of hair! YUCK! He didn't seem to mind : ) After every haircut I wonder how he got so big! A new hair do makes him look like he is 5!

More Halloween Fun!!!

I forgot that we had this video of Owen and his pumpkin or "apple" as he likes to call it. Always the entertainer Owen decided that he needed to show us his "cool trick"!

Trick or Treat

When it was time for trick or treating we joined our neighbors and their little boys. Owen always has a good time when he is around Sawyer and Patrick! They are a little older and could show Owen how it's done!! So the Transformer, the cow, and the pirate went out to get some Halloween Loot!!
