Hello Cat

This smile...
This is the smile we get
right before he does something
mischievous!!

Something mischievous like
sneaking up on the kitty cat!

He wants to pull her ears
and tail so so so much!

When she had enough and jumped
off the bed our trouble maker
wanted to follow.
He nearly crawled off the bed
trying to get to her!
So I put him on the floor...
I think the kitty cats face
says it all!

He didn't grab her ears...
he didn't grab her tail...
he just turned around
and gave me the best
smile!
A proud smile...
a mischievous smile...
a smile that I love to see!

Celebrity Dairy

Thanks to the fabulous Carolina weather
we were able to get outside and head

to Celebrity Dairy in Siler City.

This was our second trip to the Dairy.

Owen was just a little guy last time we 

were there.

Last time we were there we didn't get to

see any baby goats...

This time we saw lots of the
cutest baby goats!
I was so so happy that the goats
were born in time for their annual
open barn!
After we told Owen where we were
going he was so excited!
He said "I'm going to hold the baby goats!"
He's so much like me at this age!
I always loved animals...
especially baby animals!

Not only did we get to see baby goats
but we got to see a baby goat being born!
In front of about 50 people witnessing this event
Our son...
ever the comedian...
says...
"THAT'S DISGUSTING!" (or as he likes to say "bisgusting")
Sigh....

But after that he was so happy!
So happy because he got to hold
a baby goat!
He grinned from ear to ear!
He also said...
Owen: "I want to take him home"
Me:  "But where will he sleep?"
Owen: "Coopers cage!"
Me: "What will we feed him?"
Owen: "Pasta!"
Luckily we got away without
bringing home a baby goat!

This little guy had fun
just looking around!

Not only did this mama goat
have one baby....
she had twins!!!
So cute!

I love days like this!
Days like this with
just the 4 of us enjoying
some beautiful Carolina Weather!

Before my eyes

Before my eyes Gavin is growing up!
He's doing new things everyday!
Things that I'm just not ready for
because I know what these things mean,
All these new things mean that
he is growing up.
Growing up too quick for this mama!
Last week while he was playing with a
toy he started to sit on his knees.
I knew what was coming next...
sure enough this week he learned to do
this....

This was one of those 

"quick get the camera" moments!

It was the first time he pulled

himself all the way up!

 He's growing up
too fast!
Soon he will be walking...
running...
talking...
I really need to soak
all this baby stuff in!

 Just when it starts to
make me sad that he
is growing up...
I see this little
face and it makes me smile!
It makes me smile to know
that we have so many fun
things ahead of us!

He's growing up before my eyes!
And it makes me happy & sad...
it's just too fast!

2 boys one hat

There is something about
their daddy's hat
that these two little boys love!
They both are so adorable
when the wear their daddy's hat!
Those big eyes peeping out
and those chubby little cheeks!
Their is something about these
2 little boys wearing their
daddy's hat that melts
this mommy's heart!

Gavin: 8 months old

Dear Gavin,
You are 8 months old now!
It completely blows my mind
that you are already 8 months old!
Just 4 short little months away
from being one!!!
You being 8 months old
has presented many challenges
in our house!
You are crawling now and on the move!!
Our house just isn't baby proofed for an
8 month old!
Your big brother has so many toys that
just aren't safe for you!!
Those are the toys you like best!
You are lightning fast and on the move!!
I just wasn't ready for this stage!!
So your daddy and I are teaching your
brother about things that aren't safe for you.
We are trying to put things up out of your reach!
Even though it's a little crazy around here...
you are so stinking adorable at 8 months old!
Everywhere we go people smile at you and
of course you smile back!
People are constantly telling me how happy
you are!
You are so happy...
so sweet...
so cuddly...
so perfectly perfect
at 8 months old!!!!

Sick Sick Sick

Sick Sick Sick!
That's what we have
been around here!!!
Over the last 2 weeks
we have been sick sick sick!
Stuck inside just the 3 of us
being sick sick sick!
Poor Owen had a horrible cold
that went to his chest.
He's been using his nebulizer
for 2 weeks and no sign that
his cough is going to stop
anytime soon!
If that wasn't bad enough
he got the stomach bug that was
going around!!
Let's just say he now has the
cleanest sheets in North Carolina!
Our other little guy caught the same
cold and ended up with a double ear infection!
Along with teething he also got
the stomach bug!!
It's been a rough 2 weeks
hanging out inside our house!!!!
But it looks like we are all
on the mend!!!

While we were in isolation...

The boys played together
and spent lots in our PJ's!

Owen entertained himself by making Pizza!
