Video Vault : Wait for it!

Owen loved playing in the Ocean in the Outer Banks! He could hardly wait for a wave to come crashing in. Each time he would get so excited and say "Wait for it....Wait for it!" It was hilarious!! I just love how excited he gets.  His zest for life truly is contagious!

Life is Good Today: OBX Part 2

Day one of our week long beach trip
was a perfect mix of blue skies, warm water
and beautiful weather!
A perfect day for the beach!
We sunscreened up...
packed up a million things...
beach towels, sippy cups, snacks, bottles, pacifiers,
umbrellas, beach chairs, cooler, beach toys, hats,
sunglasses, bottled water, and diapers.
Long gone are the days when all I needed
was a beach towel and an US Weekly!
But, I wouldn't trade a single moment...
it's worth all the hassle for all the
great memories we are making.
Life Is Good Today!

Owen had so much fun playing with his Dad in the Ocean!  

He ran and ran until

his little legs could run no more!  

He jumped, he splashed, he ran, he swam, and
most of all he laughed and smiled the
biggest and best Owen smiles that I have seen.

Owen really enjoyed playing in the sand!

He didn't care that he was covered head to 

toe in itchy scratchy sand.

He really loved digging holes and filling them in.
I think the thing he liked the most was knocking over

the sand castles that his daddy built.

 

 

Everyone had a great beach day!

Gavin snoozed the entire time in Uncle Andy and Aunt Whitney's tent.

He really enjoyed the ocean breezes and 

the sound of the waves crashing.

Owen, Gabe, and Gavin had a great time together.

Owen and Gabe played in the sand and splashed

in the baby pool together.

Gavin and Gabe both took a long snooze together

in the tent.

These three cousins will have so much fun 

together over the years!

Oh Boy you sure do make me smile...

Life is Good today : OBX Part 1

 

James and I loaded up the kids and headed to the beach

to celebrate Brian and Tammy's very special day!

It was a beautiful setting and the weather was perfect!

Life was indeed good today!!!

I love seeing my friends so happy and we are so glad that we

were part of their special day!

There's not too many things that I love more than
a beach vacation!
I mean a beach vacation is pretty much perfect...
But, when you throw in the wedding of a really
good friend you have the makings of a great week!!

Owen and Gavin were perfect little gentlemen at the wedding.
They looked so adorable in their matching Janie and Jack outfits!
Owen danced and danced and took full advantage of the cookie bar.
Gavin snoozed and enjoyed all of the extra attention he was getting.
We were so proud that they were both so good!

 

Folly Beach: Day 2

Just the three of us...Day 2!

Just the 3 of us spent another perfect day at the beach.

More blue skies and sunshine were just what we needed!!!

Owen and I tested out the water and decided that it was very cold!!

Owen chased daddy and Cooper down the beach!

He loved running around the beach!

We walked down to the pier to see what else we could see!

Owen, daddy and Uncle Brandon went fishing on the pier!

Too bad the fishies weren't hungry : (

Owen loved spending time with Brandon!

Just the 3 and 1/2 of us!!!

This face says it all!!! Family vacations are soooooo much fun!

If you like Pina Coladas...

O-man certainly likes frozen drinks! Good thing all my drinks are sans alcohol now! He loves these delicious frozen treats. Who can blame him?

There's nothing better than a frozen drink after a fun day at the beach!

Party Owen! He loved the music at the bar: ) Slurp!! All done!! As tasty as these drinks were I am looking forward to a grown up one...soon very soon!

Folly Beach Vacation : Day one

Ahhhh the beach!!

We picked a perfect week for the beach...75 degrees and nothing but blue skies.

It was so good to get away from the day to day stuff and enjoy our little family.

We needed to get away...just the 3 of us one last time.

Just the 3 of us was the theme of this weekend!

It's hard to believe that our just the 3 of us time is quickly coming to an end and soon it will be just the 4 of us.

But for this vacation it was just the 3 of us...and it was perfect!

Owen couldn't wait to get in the pool!!!! he shouted...

"Owen swim! Owen Swim!"

Boy oh boy did he swim!!! He wasn't scared, he wasn't timid, he jumped right in!!

He splashed and he laughed for over an hour in the extremely cold pool!!!

He didn't care because he was having fun!!!

This was my view from my chair where I happily sat and relaxed.

Just the 3 of us laughing and having a great time!!Owen was a frozen popsicle when he got out of the pool!

Teeth Chattering, cold skin, and wet clothes... he didn't care!

He was having fun!After they both warmed up it was snack time!!

Owen thought it was a good time to get some sun : )

After snack Owen said "I play sandbox!" That's what Owen called the beach : )

Just the three of went to to the beach to play in the sand!Owen showed us his Karate Kid moves on the beach!!!He even picked up seashells on the beach! Even though it was just the 3 of us time... we made time to see some family! Owen's Uncle Brian joined us for lunch! After lunch we cleaned up to drive into Charleston to play at the battery. Just the 3 of us...just like last year!(Click here to see photos from 2009) So much fun...just the 3 of us!
