Owen 6 months old

As I pulled out the bin of Owen's 3-6 month
clothes from the attic the memories
of my first sweet baby flooded the room.
It brought tears to my eyes!
Each outfit told a story...
the story of Owen!
The story of a blue eyed baby who
grew up to fast.
With every outfit I pulled out
I could remember a special time...
a special place...
a wonderful memory!

It melts my heart to see my sweet baby Gavin

I love that I get to relive some sweet Owen
memories and make new ones with Gavin!

I know now that Gavin will grow out of these

clothes all too soon.

His tiny little feet will no longer fit

into these cute little dinosaur socks...

but for now...

they do and I'm loving every second

Gavin: Two months old

So by the time I got around to doing this post you
are a little more than 2 months old!
You are 2 months, 3 weeks and 1 day old!!!
But you are exactly 2 months old in the pictures!!!

At 2 months old you are ridiculously cute!!!

It makes me laugh to watch you do it.

Especially your blankets.

You love to grab them in your cute

little baby hands and put them in your mouth.

I could sit and watch you four hours doing this.

4 weeks old

Dear Gavin,

You are 4 weeks old now!

I feel like you have been part of our family forever!

But...it's only been 4 short weeks!

4 weeks really isn't a lot of time.

It's just a tiny little amount of time...

yet it feels like you have been here forever.

Making us smile!

At 4 weeks old you have some favorite pastimes.

You like to pass the day away in so many different ways.

sleeping, eating, swinging, and most of all tummy time.

But I must say that your most favorite way to pass the day

is to be in your mommy's arms.

You like to be held!!

At 4 weeks you are a pretty good sleeper!

You wake up just 3 little times and go back to sleep!

Gavin and Evan

Gavin may be small but, he sure has a lot of friends!!!

While big brother Owen was in school today Gavin had his own playdate. My friend Andrea brought her new baby over to play/sleep. Little Evan is a around 2weeks older than Gavin and they are soooo cute together. These 2 are going to be great friends! From This.....

Gavin had a play date too! Or maybe I should call it a sleep date! We got to meet Ava Grace's baby brother Noah today. The boys were due 1 day apart. Baby Noah came on the 10th and Gavin decided to hang in there until the 17th! It's going to be so much fun watching these two grow up together!

3 weeks old

Oh my goodness how did you get to be three weeks old already? Where did the time go? I keep asking myself that when it comes to you and your brother!! Where did the time go? I want to remember you just as you are...perfectly tiny and sweet. Just as you are at 3 weeks old!

I want to remember your... wrinkly skin, your growing eye brows, and your sweet baby face

I want to remember the way you like to have your hand at your face

I want to remember your pudgy little baby arms

I want to remember the way you look at us with those big eyes!

I want to remember how soft and sweet your newborn skin is!

I want to remember how cute you are in your elf hat!

I want to remember your little newborn belly!

I want to remember your long toes and skinny feet! I want to remember your chins! All of them!!!

I want to remember how wonderfully fantastic everyday with you has been! I want to remember it all because you will never be this small again! You are getting bigger everyday! But I will always remember you just as you are at 3 weeks old!

First Bath

Once the belly button came off it was time for a much needed bath!! There were many sponge baths over the last 2 weeks but nothing gets a baby clean as a real bath! What better way to get a bath than in a super cute whale bathtub? According to Gavin he doesn't care how cute the bathtub is... he still thinks it stinks!! Needless to say he didn't like it! It didn't matter that we were using California Baby body wash...

It didn't matter that I had a heater out to keep him nice and warm...

It just didn't matter!!! He didn't like it!!

2 weeks old

Dear Gavin, You are 2 weeks old today!! I can't believe how fast time has gone by!!! Even though you are only 2 weeks old we already know so much about you!!! We know you don't like to have your diaper changed..... you scream and scream! As soon as it's done you are back to your sweet Baby Gavin self. At 14 days old you are also back to your birth weight... all 8.5 lbs. You dropped down to 7lbs 11ounces but now your back!!! You're 14 days old!!! But to me you are 14 days new! In 2 short weeks we know... that you like to be held!! Boy oh boy do you like to be held! You don't like to be put down... especially from the hours of 6pm-10pm. That's ok!! I don't mind!! I know how fast time goes by!! In 2 short weeks we know that your big brother thinks you are pretty special. He looks for you every morning! He tells me when you are sad. He kisses your head goodnight! He sings "Good Morning to you! Good Morning to you! Good Morning baby Gavin...Good Morning to you!" In 2 short weeks we know that you have your daddy's feet and toes!! Long and skinny! Not short and fat like Mommy's and brother's! In two short weeks we know that you are pretty sweet and calm! You like to sleep! You like to cuddle! Most of all you like to eat...and... eat and eat! In 2 short weeks we know that you like to look around and see the world! You are starting to stay awake longer... you are focusing on our faces! We love seeing your eyes! We love watching you learn about your world! In 2 short weeks we learned that while you are a super cute baby... you have the funniest scowl marks when you get mad!! Scowl marks right between your eyes! They get deeper the madder you get!!! It's been so much fun getting to know you during the last 2 weeks!
