Gavin's first day of Pre School

On your first day
of pre-school you wore
your favorite color!!
Orange of course!!
You were all smiles
because you were so excited
to go to big kid school!
It's strange that I was ok
with the fact that you were
going to start pre-school!
I knew that you were going
to be ok!
You have that kind of personality
that will make friends and win over your teacher!

I also knew I didn't
have to worry because you
had a big brother to show you the way!
Someone to walk you to your class...
someone to hug you goodbye...
someone to hold your hand
when you get out of the car at
carpool!
So no...
I didn't have to worry because
I knew you were going to be ok!!

A few high fives
and a few hugs later
you guys were ready
to go!
It was a big deal
that you both were going
to big kid school together!

My heart was filled
with emotion
as I stood back trying to
take it all in!
My 2 big boys...
walking hand in hand
into school!
One just starting pre-school
and the other starting his
last year in pre-school.

Owen was so proud to
show you the way!
You held on tight to his
hand and made your way
inside...

and with that first step...
you were gone.
Forever a big kid!!
But I don't worry...
not about you!
You will make your own
mark on the school with
your amazing sense of humor
and your cute little ways that
keep you out of trouble!!
