Dear Gavin,
My mischievous little guy!
How you make me laugh
with all the clever things you do!
I have to admit that you get away
with a lot of things...
I mean A LOT!
Just because you have me wrapped
around your finger!
You know how to play your mama like a fiddle!

You have this way about
you when you are in trouble...
I just can't keep a straight face.
Just one look at your scrunched up nose...
or the way you try to whisper whatever answer
you think will get you out of trouble...
or the way you will simply close your eyes
in disgust!
I just can't help but smile at you!
I can't help myself but to laugh!

You want your mama and no one else

will do!

Over and Over you will say...

"I wub you mommy! You so so happy?"

To which I reply "Yes Gavy I'm so so happy!"

Then you ask for a hug...

first a big hug...

then a little hug.

Aaaah my heart turns to mush!

Oh boy are you an ornery little fellow!
Your eyes dance with mischief
and you laugh a very deep
up to no good laugh!
Oh how you keep me laughing.
I mean you are really that funny!
You have such wit for a 2 year old.
Lately you think you are Puss N Boots.
When people ask what your name is
you are quick to tell them...
"I am Puss n Boots...Yah!"
You are going to be a force
little man!

I love the way you want to be next
to me in the morning.
You aren't willing to share your mama
with Owen or Brynn.
You will tell them over and over that
I am your mama.
I tell you that I'm also there mommy
and they need me too.
You want no parts of that answer...
Instead you say in the sweetest
2 year old voice I have ever heard...
"I snuggie snuggie with you mommy!"
Aaaah how can I resist.
I so look forward to my morning hugs
and my snuggle  snuggie time with you!

You love going to school
and I love picking you up!
I love seeing your little face
light up in the carpool lane.
I can read your lips each time
you exclaim ...
"My Mommy!"
I ask you how your day was
and you say the same thing...
everytime...
"I play with tata head!"
I can only imagine what
you are like in school
Your teachers promise me
that you behave yourself...
and they agree that you
are a funny little guy.

You have eyelashes
that girls dream about!
I swear they must be an inch long
and 4 layers deep!
That helps keep you out of trouble...
it helps with your
"who me"
 look!

You are one persistent
little guy!
When you get something
on your mind you will
repeat it...
over
and
over
and
over...
until you think you have made your point.

You love to watch Cars 2
and are OBSESSED with Mater.
In fact we have at least 4 maters
just in case we lose one.

You dig your heels in
if you don't want to do
something...
something as simple as looking
at the camera.

you will look anywhere
else except at me.
