Red Casts

Next to his spinal surgery this
was one of the hardest decisions
we have had to make.
We realized that he wasn't going to just out grow
the toe walking as we were told.
So we went to 3 different pediatric orthopedist to get answers.
Each one said something different.
One said braces...
another said surgery...
the third said casts...
Each solution had it's pros and cons!

In the end we went with Dr. Lark's suggestion of
casts for 30 days.
It seemed like the best treatment plan for us.
Dr. Lark felt that the casts would stretch his tight heel cords
and break the toe walking habit.
On the day we went to get the casts
he was so brave...
so very brave!
He chose red casts because
red is his favorite color.
He sat there so still so the doctor
could put them on.
He handled it better than me!!!
Let's hope the next 30 days
goes by fast and that we see results!!!
